Win a Terrific Book!

On November 10th, I blogged about a new book called Hallowed Ground  by Lori Armstrong.  Among other things, I wrote:

Lori has crafted a gritty, textured, totally engrossing thriller, enriched by emotional depth and Native American spiritual lore, and spiced with heated attraction between Julie and Tony Martinez.

Lori and I have become friends over the last couple of years.  That's how I recently found out that, through some organizational snafu, no advance copies of Hallowed Ground were sent out to reviewers.   Snafus of all kinds happen in the publishing industry, but not having the word get out about a book can be devastating.  This is particularly so when you're a fairly new author early in your career without the power and name recognition of the big guns.

If you read my original post (Click here), you'll see that I was totally blown away by Hallowed Ground.  I love this book and believe that anyone who enjoys a terrific mystery is going to love it, too.  I think people who read it will talk about it to others and recommend it to their friends.  What's more, I think if you're a mystery fan and you don't read Hallowed Ground, you're going to be ticked off that you missed an excellent book.

So, I'm putting my money and my blog where my mouth is.  I'm giving away five copies of Hallowed Ground to you, my blog readers.  To enter, put your email address in the comments section of this blog post or send me an email at mary@mary-stella.com with Hallowed Ground in the subject line.  I will pick five winners at random to win a free copy.

Not a mystery fan yourself?  Surely, you know someone who is, so enter the contest anyway and maybe you'll win a copy of the book to give as a holiday gift.

Bloggers, feel free to spread the word about the contest on your own blogs and help create some buzz and word of mouth.  Trust me, i wouldn't do this if I didn't think that Hallowed Ground deserved the buzz.

I'll pick the winners on December 8th, so there's plenty of time.

Thanks and Good Luck!

What a wonderful thing. I will say...I read the first one Blood Ties, and it's excellent. Hallowed Ground is definitely on my To Be Bought List. I'll gladly blog about it :)

This is the reason I'm still plugging away in this crazy business despite the setbacks: friends like Mary Stella, who go above and beyond, who've shown me the meaning of unconditional support and enthusiasm...I'm speechless, my friend. Thank you.

That's such a great thing you do for your friend! And I e-mailed you and posted some info on my blog. Hopefully, in spite of organizational snafu, the book will still find a huge readership.

I rarely read outside the romance genre, but since I've met Lori...and the book sounds fabulous, I'll go outside my comfort zone and pick it up. Sorry to hear it didn't get to reviewers...but word-of-mouth is a fabulous way to promote books. :) Where would we be in this world without our friends?
